Google has rolled out updates to its search tools, giving users more control over their personal information appearing in search results. The tech giant has redesigned its "Results about you" feature and simplified the process for requesting content removal directly from search pages.

The enhanced tool now actively scans for search results containing sensitive details like phone numbers, physical addresses, and email addresses. Users receive alerts when new results containing their personal information are detected.

A streamlined removal process allows users to take action directly from search results by clicking the three dots menu next to any result. The updated interface presents clear options for different types of removal requests, including personal information removal and outdated content updates.

When users spot outdated information about themselves, they can request Google to "recrawl" the webpage to capture recent changes. This helps ensure search results reflect the most current version of online content.

The privacy protection features require users to verify their identity by providing contact details, which Google uses solely for verification purposes. The company emphasizes that this information is not used for personalizing other Google services.

These new privacy tools are currently available across multiple regions including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, and several European and Asian countries.

By simplifying these privacy controls, Google aims to help users maintain better control over their personal information appearing in search results while reducing the stress of managing their online presence.
